Orlando’s Update: My 85th Birthday!

Greetings.

Today I am 17 human years old, which is the equivalent of 85 cat years according to the Cat Age Calculator.

This is me in 1994, the year that Scott rescued me from the RSPCA. I was one year old at the time (15 in human years).  I have cobwebs on my face because I was exploring the top of the wardrobe. I don’t think I could jump two vertical metres anymore.

Here I am in 1995 (aged 25) snoozing with Doris. We were best friends for fourteen human years.

This is me in 1996, aged 29.

In 1997 I wondered how Doris managed to climb that pole. I was 33.

I used to love playing with water, especially in 1998 when I was 37.

On the couch. 1999. 41.

Here I am getting my chin scratched in 2000 when I was 45.

Sunbaking in 2001. I loved the sun, even at 49.

Enjoying pancakes in 2002. I was 53.

Posing on the piano in 2003 at the age of 57.

Supervising Christmas dinner in 2004. I was 61 so felt that I had plenty of experience.

By 2005 I had a little weight problem…but I was 65.

Snoozing in 2006. Aged 69.

My most famous portrait was taken in 2007, in my seventies, like Rachel Welch! It featured on postcards that Scott sent all around the world, and also appeared on Cute With Chris.

Enjoying my new fur throw in 2008. Aged 77.

My Christmas Day portrait 2009. 81.

The day I arrived in the UK in 2010. 84 and a half.

This is my official 85th Birthday portrait.

I will celebrate this milestone by snoozing.
