The Orlando Archives #2

This is Orlando, aged 12, demanding lap-time in 2005. You can sort of see how he was about to become diabetic.

This was taken in our house in Berwick – the one that Mark and I built. The massively heavy television in the background has only just been disposed of. We moved it to the UK thinking that PAL TVs were fine to use in the UK, but no, they use PAL “2″ TVs. The TV weighed over 60 kgs and I still remember picking it up from the store at Fountain Gate (yes, the fabled Kath and Kim shopping centre, though they actually filmed at Southland). The TV finished its days at the Otterspool Waste Reception Centre here in Merseyside (don’t you love just love the euphemisms they use for a dump?). Just about everything else you can see in the picture came with us too, except the sofas, which were taken off our hands by Pam’s daughter Emma before our last move to Murrumbeena.

  1. His face reads as like royalty! But then with a name like Orlando – it is quite regal…….

  2. Gorjuss ginger floof!
