Probably not, because this was taken in summer. This is where we’re staying at the moment. Our house is the separate bit on the left with the red vines on it. The lawn in front is where the squirrels are – Orlando doesn’t take much notice of them any more. I have bought him a lead and harness to which we’re slowly getting him accustomed. He’s worn the harness so far but not the lead. The neighbours are very quiet and I’ve managed to convince myself that the house isn’t haunted, though there have been about ten ladybugs inside…and there were, gasp, cobwebs! It’s very peaceful during the day, I’ve been reading, doing lots of planning for the house purchase, planning a trip to London, and sometimes, in the afternoon, falling asleep in the armchair in front of the fire with Orlando on my lap. Hey – it’s dark by 4pm, what do you expect?
Anyway, the sun’s popped out at the moment, so I’ll take my camera outside in a little while.

Who is in the other bit?
Thought ladybugs were good!
Think I will have to do my face workout tonight!!

I know, I know, ladybugs are our friend…is it bad luck to kill them?

dark by 4pm? It’s 8.52pm and we are entering the last throes of twilight……Jealous? I am of the squirrels, the ladybugs but not the cobwebs as I have my own.

In high summer in Liverpool it doesn’t get dark until well after 10pm! I won’t be able to sleep!

Oh my goodness – that’s just gorgeous. It looks like something out of a movie. Personally, I would be trying to convince myself it was haunted. I’ve always wanted to live somewhere that had a ghost.

Ahhh Scottness – life is just too darn hard. Jamas and slippers at 4.00?? Why not. And I think some dippity eggs and bread & butter soldiers in front of the fire, pot of Earl Grey, and a spot cake to finish . . . sometimes I wonder if the stork got the hemisphere of my chimney wrong. xx
