I think I’m starting to get the hang of WordPress!

 

Here are the two random photos I was talking about yesterday on my old  blog. They are both pictures of my desk at work. My desk is prime real estate for a couple of reasons. First, it is tucked away around a corner of the staff room where students can’t gawk at you from the door – excellent if you need to hide from them for some reason, or if you are trying to eat your lunch. It is also far enough away from the phone that you don’t feel obliged to rush to answer it as soon as it rings. It is also good because you often overhear interesting conversations when people don’t realise you are there. Furthermore, it has a tiny bit of extra space on one side in the form of the back of the adjoining desk. As you can see from the pictures I have utilised this extra space for a photo board and other decorative and fun items. I have pictures of Orlando and Doris (to remind me why I slave away at work – I need to provide a good home for these two felines in their old age), excellent three dimensional Simpsons stickers (they were too good for the students, plus it would make their workbooks all lumpy), and the odd funny thing like the postcard. It’s a reproduction of a picture from an old knitting pattern, and underneath they have added the words “She had not yet decided whether to use her power for good or evil” which, as Holden Caulfield would say, just killed me.

Anyway, just going to play around with WordPress a bit more.
